Peter Pan - a 360 degree theater!

This past weekend, my family and I were invited to experience JM Barrie's Peter Pan at the Orange County Performing Arts Center!  We were very excited because we heard awesome things about the 360 degree theater and couldn't wait to see it!  This is a unique theater experience because the performance takes place inside of huge tent.  Once inside, the audience is surrounded by a 360 degree movie screen that transforms the entire theater into Neverland!  The highlight of the the show was when Peter Pan and Wendy ...

Choose from thousands of pumpkins right out of the patch. Eat and play games at the College of Agriculture student club booths or head over to their popular Insect Fair featuring nearly 500,000 live and preserved insects (runs from 9am-5pm) . They will also have a corn maze, petting zoo, horse rides, entertainment, and lots of activities for kids! If you like pancakes, there will be a pancake breakfast Saturday morning from 8am-11am. Bring your appetite!

Bring a carved pumpkin for judging and dress up in your best costume ever for our costume contest! Awards will given in various categories: Prettiest, Scariest, Funniest and Most Creative. Costume judging will end at 7:10 pm sharp. Winners will be announced at approximately 7:30 pm. Food vendors will be present. Awards will be rewarded for Best Game Booths and Most Creative Game Booths.

In addition, many local businesses and shops will be participate in handing out candy to children of all ages, starting at 1:00 p.m.

The Haugh Performing Arts Center in Glendora has an outstanding line up of plays and musicals for your kids beginning on November 6th!  Their Saturdays for Kids series features some favorite kids books that are made into live performance which is so exciting for kids!  My personal favorites from their line up are Knuffle Bunny and of course, Anne of Green Gables.  And with tickets at just $6 per person, the entire family can enjoy a Saturday afternoon appreciating the arts!  You might want to purchase your tickets early!
