Teacher Barbara Touching Many Lives!

From time to time, my hope is to highlight a local favorite or a special kid-experience for you, my readers.  This week, I'd like to share about someone near and dear to my heart -- Teacher Barbara!  She has been touching children's lives for over 20 years in Claremont through teaching Parent Education classes that enrich the entire family.  She not only teaches our children, but she also trains each of us as parents!  Two out of my three kids have had the privilege of being in her classes.  She makes the usual "mommy and me" experience unique by getting the kids out of the classroom as much as possible (in the older 3-5 years old class) through awesome field trips.  Teacher Barbara is also very well-connected in our community and offers all the best preschool venues to the kids!  I highly recommend her classes and registration is currently open.

The following information was given to me directly from Teacher Barbara.  If I hear of any updates, I will pass it onto you.

SCHOOL STARTS THE WEEK OF 9/13. New parents may visit that week and register the second week if spaces are available; however, ANYONE may register beginning 8/23 for the open spaces. Please share this information with your friends.

PARENT EDUCATION CLASSES 5.5100 (Mommy, Daddy, Grandparent and Me)
Classes enable parents to observe and participate with their child in a classroom setting that stimulates the physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth of the child.  A typical day includes creative play, crafts, music, movement and circle time.  Readiness activities include pre-reading, writing, math concepts, science and cooking.  Fieldtrips enhance this theme-based curriculum. New students may visit class on the first meeting date, and then register prior to the second class meeting.
