If you are looking for a show that will keep you and the kids entertained the whole time with lots of laughs and great music, then Blue Man Group is a must see.  My family and I had our first experience over the Christmas holiday to watch the Blue Man Group at their new home at Luxor Las Vegas.  What an amazing show!  It has become my family’s all-time favorite show.  My kids haven't stopped talking about how much fun they had. They laughed at all jokes and the Blue Man Group doesn't even have to say a word.

That's right, the Blue Man Group is performed by three non-verbal and emotionless blue characters but these three men were extremely comical and entertaining. They kept the audience entertained with silly antics and even a satire skit about the usage of technology today.  The music performed either by the Blue Men or with band was high energy and upbeat just like a rock concert.  I was a little concern the loudness of the music will bother both my 6 and 9 years old sons but both were dancing to the beat of the music and loved it.  They especially enjoyed the percussion presentation by the Blue Man Group using PVC plumbing pikes as drum set. They were intrigued with the beautiful sounds coming out from a normal household item.

The fun from the Blue Man Group show literally started from the moment you find your seat. The lights in the theater was in the color blue so everyone in the room turned blue. We were given fluorescent steamers to decorate ourselves. My husband and kids got very creative designing themselves.  Right before the show is about to begin, the audiences were directed to read messages from Teleprompter.  We were reading names of selected audiences to wish him/her a happy birthday, or say “I love you” etc.  Through the whole show, there were plenty of audience participation. They would either come close to you or randomly chose an audience member as a volunteer to be part of the show.  It was hilarious watching the awkwardness of the selected volunteer getting on stage and not knowing what to do since there was no verbal directions.  The joke was so innocent even my kids found it funny.  By the way, don't be late for the show or you’ll called out in the middle of the show with spotlight shone over you and being sang to "You're late. You’re late.”  It was quite dramatic (if you ask me) and I wouldn't want to be in those poor soul's shoes who was late to the show. :-)

Our most favorite part is the finale.  The show ended with a big bang.  The music got turned up to get everyone on their feet dancing, strobe lights flashing, confetti released from atop the theatre, and never ending streamers passing through the audience (My kids were having so much fun wrapping and burying themselves in the never ending streamers).  It was like a giant celebration!  Hands down to a great show from the Blue Man Group and to prove it, this was the reaction from my sons when the show ended, "What the show ended?  Why so soon?  Nooooooo! It can't be!”  This was a 90 minutes show without intermission, the show was so good my boys want a never ending.  Get your tickets now! #DareToLive
