Macaroni Kid Rancho Cucamonga’s magic words have revealed the parks spotted with gold!
You can hunt for gold, while supplies last at the following parks:
- McCarthy Park, Upland - 20th Street and San Antonio Avenue
- Olivedale Park, Upland - 8th Street between Campus and Sultana Avenue
- Memorial Park, Claremont - Indian Hill Boulevard and 8th Street
- Cahuilla Park, Claremont - Indian Hill Boulevard and Scripps Dr.
- Heritage Park, La Verne - 5001 Via De Mansion
- Emerald Park, La Verne - corner of Genesse and Chelsea

When can we hunt for the gold? On Saturday, March 13th at 10:00 AM, Macaroni Kid will say the magic words and the gold will appear at 6 parks all over our cities! We will post here and on our social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram where the gold has been spotted. A sign will be posted at the park entrance to show the gold hunt is on!
Where is the gold in the park? Look everywhere! The gold should be spotted in planters, around the playground and even on the playground equipment. No place is off-limits but the gold will not be in places you need to climb i.e. trees, walls, up high.
What do we do once we find the gold? Once you find your gold post a picture of it on Instagram using the hashtag #MKFOOTHILLSGOLDHUNT. You will be entered to win our gold hunt giveaway! You can also enter here! We are asking families to please only take 1-2 pieces of gold per child so other kids in our community can participate in the fun of hunting and finding the gold too!
Is the gold real? We think it may be but it's not worth anything here, only in the land of leprechauns. But keep it on your shelf to always remember you have a piece of the leprechaun's lost gold! Remember the leprechaun gold is to be used as a decoration only and is not safe to be eaten.
