Summer Camps And Classes Offered Through The City Of Claremont

Affordable and fun online courses for kids!

At the Claremont Human Services department, we are excited to offer our community a diverse selection of affordable and fun online courses this summer season. We are offering week-long virtual camps and classes in subjects such as fitness, language, computer coding, music, art, and science! Our participants have a chance to beat the heat and still stay engaged! Here’s a snapshot of some of the classes we are offering:


This virtual class is designed for students wishing to learn the acting techniques of their favorite film and TV stars! The course includes on-camera acting techniques, vocabulary, character development, and expression. Practical exercises in both scripted and improvisational work will be used and will focus on acting for dramas. Students should have the ability to print/have accessible scripts and handouts prior to classes. 

The registration deadline is May 3rd. This class runs from May 5th – June 9th and is offered for $85. Classes are scheduled on Wednesdays from 3:30 PM-4:30 PM and are designed for ages 7-11.


This is a 45-minute ballet-inspired workout. The routine features some cardio training, strength training, balance work, and core work. No ballet experience required!

The registration deadline is May 3rd. This class runs from May 5th – June 9th and is offered for $85. Classes are scheduled on Wednesdays from 3:30 PM-4:30 PM and are designed for ages 7-11.




In this virtual camp, create anything you can imagine with Roblox's immersive game engine! Roblox Studio's creative features are accessible to a variety of skill levels ranging from novice to experienced programmer. 

This is a week-long camp that runs from June 7th – June 11th and is offered for $108. Meetings are scheduled from 9:00 AM-10:15 AM and are designed for ages 7-12.


In this virtual Spanish class, instructors will create effective practice activities and present new information slowly and clearly in an organized manner to facilitate the learning of the Spanish language! Students should supply a notebook and pen for each class. 

This class runs from June 19th – August 7th and is offered for $85. Classes are scheduled on Saturdays from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM and are designed for ages 6-9. Please note that the registration deadline is June 17th.


In this online camp, students can take their animation to the next level by learning how to create exciting three-dimensional, stop-motion animation films!

This is a week-long camp that runs from July 19th – July 23rd and is offered for $160. Meetings are scheduled from 1:00 PM - 2:15 PM and are designed for ages 7-12. Please note that the registration deadline is July 12th.
