The City of Claremont has some exciting news – we’ve just released our 2021 Fall brochure! This season, we’ve released an electronic version of our brochure and have packed it with tons of exciting classes to look forward to! We offer categories including sports, art, fitness, music, and even theatre! This season we are offering both in-person and virtual classes so that our participants feel safe and welcomed to join in on the fun!
Our Fall 2021 brochure can be accessed here: City of Claremont Human Services. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the classes that will be offered:

  • Individual Violin, Viola, and Cello (optional in-person/virtual): This class covers the fundamentals of Violin, Viola, and Cello by teaching posture, rhythm, and playing techniques. Instruments and books are required by students and earphones and metronomes are recommended. 30-minute sessions must be scheduled directly with the instructor and are offered for $80 for residents of Claremont or $85 for non-residents. Classes are designed for ages 4-72. Classes will be held at the Alexander Hughes Community Center for participants who prefer in-person classes or via Zoom for those who prefer virtual classes.

  • Video Game Design (virtual): In this virtual video game design class, students will learn how to create their very own 3D video games and share their completed games with the world! Using KODU, an intuitive object-based coding engine developed by Microsoft®, participants will be able to create their own unique game environments and challenges. KODU Game Lab is only supported for Windows systems (Mac computers, Chromebooks, Android devices and iPhones are not supported for use.) Classes will be held from September 7th - September 28th and are offered for $95. Classes are scheduled from 4PM-5PM on Tuesdays and are designed for ages 8-15. This class will be held at the Alexander Hughes Community Center.
