City of Claremont's Freedom 5000 Run/Walk

A family-friendly event to kick off the 4th of July Weekend!

June 24, 2022

After two years of going virtual, Claremont's Freedom 5000 is back!

The Claremont Village Freedom 5000 is a family-friendly run/walk and, different from years past, will take place on Saturday, July 2, 2022, instead of being held on the fourth of July. The run is co-hosted by the City of Claremont and the Claremont High School Cross Country Team Boosters. "We are excited to be back to running in-person," said Miguel Sanchez, the 2022 Race Director.

The event features a 1K Kids Fun Run, a 5K Run, and a 5K Walk/Competitive Race Walk through the scenic tree-lined streets of Claremont. The 1K Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under occurs at 7:30 a.m. All participants will receive a medal.
The 5K Run begins at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K Walk begins at 8:05 a.m. Medals will be given to the first three individuals in each division.

Preregistration is recommended to ensure a spot and a performance fabric t-shirt.
Pre-registration ends Thursday, June 30th at 11:59 p.m. To register, visit the event’s website www.claremont4th.org
