Oak Glen Apple Season Is Here!
Official apple season festivities begin Labor Day weekend,
September 5–7, 2026, and continue through Thanksgiving.

Summer may still be holding on here in Southern California, but fall is already beginning to show up in the nearby mountains. In our area, that can only mean one thing: apple season is returning to Oak Glen!

Beginning Labor Day weekend, families can head up the mountain for apple picking, freshly pressed cider, fall treats, and all the seasonal traditions that make Oak Glen such a favorite fall day trip.

šŸ Pick Apples Straight From the Tree
The highlight of apple season is visiting one of Oak Glen’s U-pick orchards. There is something extra special about walking among the trees, choosing your own apples, and taking home a bag filled with fruit your family picked together.
🄧 Come Hungry
Apple picking is only the beginning. Depending on where you stop, you may find fresh apple pie, warm cider donuts, apple butter, caramel apples, cider slushies, barbecue, and plenty of freshly pressed cider. Honestly, the treats alone are worth the drive!
🚜 Make a Day of It
Many Oak Glen destinations offer much more than apples. Families may find cider pressing, petting zoos, wagon rides, nature trails, live music, local shops, picnic areas, and seasonal activities. Offerings vary by location, so you can plan a relaxed orchard visit or fill an entire day with fall fun.

The mountain scenery also makes Oak Glen a beautiful place for family photos. Between the orchards, rustic buildings, changing leaves, and mountain views, there are plenty of opportunities to capture a little fall magic.

Natalie’s Notes šŸŽ
Apple varieties and U-pick availability can change throughout the season. If picking apples is your main reason for visiting, check with the orchard before making the drive. Going earlier in the day can also mean cooler weather and fewer crowds.

Whether you visit for the apples, the food, the mountain air, or simply a fun change of scenery, Oak Glen is a wonderful way to welcome fall with your family. Grab your favorite sweater, even if you do not need it quite yet, šŸ˜† and start planning your fall day trip!

šŸ“Œ Good to Know Before You Go
Each Oak Glen orchard and business sets its own hours, admission prices, parking policies, and activity schedule. Not every orchard offers U-pick apples, and some locations are only open on certain days. Always check directly with the location you plan to visit before heading up the mountain.
