If you’ve never taken your kids to Monster Jam, this is one of those experiences that’s hard to explain until you’re actually there. It’s loud, it’s high-energy, and it’s the kind of event where no one is sitting still for very long. When those trucks hit the dirt inside SoFi Stadium, the whole place reacts.
Not your typical “sit and watch” event
This is one of the few shows where kids don’t have to be quiet or stay in their seats the whole time.
They’re cheering, reacting, and completely locked in as 12,000-pound trucks race, flip, and somehow balance on two wheels like it’s no big deal.
And one of the coolest parts, kids actually get to help score the drivers during the event. That alone keeps them engaged from start to finish.
The kind of outing that works for a wide age range
This is one of those rare events that works for:
- Younger kids who are just excited to see giant trucks
- Tweens and teens who appreciate the stunts and competition
- Even adults who end up way more into it than they expected
It’s not overly complicated or hard to follow, which makes it easy for the whole family to enjoy together.

Start earlier with the Pit Party
If your kids love seeing how things work or getting up close, thePit Party is worth adding.
Before the main event, you can:
- Walk right up to the trucks
- Meet drivers and grab autographs
- Take photos without the crowd rush
It’s a more relaxed way to experience everything before the big energy of the show kicks in.
New trucks to look out for
This year brings a couple of fun additions:
- Tech Deck Wreck Deck, inspired by skateboarding tricks
- Bailey Circuit, a playful “robot dog” style truck that younger kids will love
Along with favorites like Grave Digger and Megalodon, there’s a good mix of classic and new.
