Macaroni Kid Upland-Claremont-La Verne review by KC:

Doc McStuffins Toy Hospital is brought to life at Discovery Cube, Santa Ana. Doc McStuffins was there for the ribbon cutting and to greet all the children at the Discovery Cube. The Toy Hospital has a reception desk, Nursery, ER area, and a X-Ray station, just like a real hospital to educate and entertain your child.

Upon walking up to the Toy Hospital Exhibit there is a sign just like the one in the Disney Junior show. After walking through the door or going down a slide to the reception desk, children hear a message from Lamby and Stuffy. Lamby needs help at the nursery and Stuffy needs help in the Pet Vet area.

Before heading to the nursery, the children pass through the ER and OR. In the ER children give diagnosis for patients and in the OR children can operate on a robot Dragon with on-screen assistance.

While in the Nursery children take care of babies. With many tasks to be done before putting the baby to sleep. The babies need to be fed, bathed, rocked and put in their crib.

The next stop is the Pet Vet area. Children can perform a scan on the stuffed animals to diagnose and to treat their problems. The cats need to eat with the dogs because they are shy. The dogs need special cone collars so they don't bite themselves. And some need a fur trimming.

The station that seemed especially popular was changing out the fishes' dirty water with clean water. This shows how to properly change out the fishes' water using buckets and blue balls. And my toddler was especially helpful in gathering the loose balls that stray away.

There is plenty of activities for kids and it also educates them on what goes on at a real hospital. If your child is a fan of Doc McStuffins you will not want to miss this exhibit!

First-Ever Museum Exhibit Based on Disney’s Peabody Award-Winning Series

Disney Junior brings its popular “Doc McStuffins” storytelling to communities in the first-ever touring museum exhibit based on the Peabody Award-winning television series. The exhibit, in partnership with The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, is designed to model “care and compassion” for kids age 2-6 in immersive activities that reinforce the importance of health and well-being. Presented by Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health and sponsored locally by the Stanbridge University School of Nursing, “

Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit” at Discovery Cube

allows young “doctors-in- training” to visit the McStuffins Toy Hospital where they can perform check-ups and diagnose toy patients while learning about healthy habits, compassion and nurturing care.

Exhibit activities include

  • Giving toy patients check-ups in the Emergency Room.
  • Performing “operations” on toys that need bigger fixes in the Operating Room.
  • Diagnosing pet toys with X-ray scanning machines in the Pet Vet Clinic.
  • Rocking baby dolls to sleep and helping them follow their bedtime routines in the Nursery.

Before caring for their toys, young visitors will learn how to “scrub in” and practice good hygiene. The exhibit helps children learn the importance of healthy living, well-being and nurturing our bodies, and provides an opportunity for children to become comfortable in a healthcare setting.

*Exhibit is included in general admission.
** Disney character live appearances are not part of the exhibit.
