Can you feel it? The change in the weather, the sun setting later, and the flowers beginning to bloom everywhere...Spring is here! Spring symbolizes new beginnings and the hope they bring. To say we all need a dose of that after this past year is an understatement. 

While restrictions loosen up and businesses start to slowly open, there are so many more events and activities to choose from. No matter what your comfort level this weekend there is something here for you. From take-home activities, drive-thru events, or outdoor/indoor adventures - it's all here.  Grab your favorite beverage, sit back, and sift through the round-up of Easter/Spring weekend events happening in and around Upland, Claremont & La Verne

🐇Claremont Village Easter Egg Hunt

Hop along to your favorite Claremont Village businesses for an Easter egg hunt and a chance to win one of three gift baskets! The hunt will take place from March 29 through April 2. You can pick up a punch card at Studio C. between 10-6 pm or Bert & Rocky's between 12-9 pm.

Each business will have a basket of Easter Eggs filled with surprise goodies like treats or discounts! Be sure to get your card stamped/punched and then drop off your card with your name, email and phone number at Studio C. anytime between 10-6 - where you will be entered into a raffle to win a gift basket. Winners will be drawn at 6 pm.

Stations Of Cross Multi-Site Pilgrimage (Claremont/Upland)

Stations of the Cross is a multi-site Guided Pilgrimage taking place in the Claremont-Upland area from now until Saturday, April 3.
Use your mobile phone, www.lastations.org  visit this website from now until April 3rd and you will be guided to multiple sites in and around Claremont and Upland.  These sites represent the stations of the cross, a journey that follows Jesus' experience from conviction, through crucifixion, to burial. When you arrive, click on the 'I've arrived' button to access the 2-minute recording that accompanies each station. The recording offers a commentary, scripture reading, and prayer for that station.

In lieu of the annual Spring Celebration event, the Human Services Department is excited to announce a Drive-Through Egg Giveaway at the Alexander Hughes Community Center! Mr. & Mrs. Bunny will be distributing goodie bags with candy-filled eggs to residents. Select participants will also have an opportunity to find a “Golden Egg” in their goodie bag and win a special prize! The goodie bags will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

🦋 SOAR - Tropical Butterflies @ South Coast Botanic Garden

SOAR features tropical butterflies in the built pavilion. Your SOAR ticket allows you to enter the pavilion, but the experience begins outside with the new garden area featuring a portion of our spring superbloom, butterfly-attracting flowers, and other pollinators. Throughout the experience, you’ll see butterflies in every stage of the life cycle. Once inside the pavilion, you’ll have the opportunity to watch them in their natural habitat, and, if you’re lucky, have a personal encounter with one! Most important, every step of the way you can learn all about these beautiful insects while having an experience to remember.

🐰🐥Spring Egg Hunt Adventure (Upland)

Visit City of Upland's various parks to hunt eggs during the Upland Recreation and Community Services Spring Egg Hunt Adventure! At each stop, read clues for additional stops at other parks, and collect Spring Bunny Slips along the way (hint: look for foot-long decorated wooden eggs). Approximately ten Spring eggs will be hidden throughout various Upland parks. Find a minimum of four Spring eggs, collect the Spring Bunny Slips, then visit Magnolia Park and the Spring Bunny as the last stop. At Magnolia Park, your Spring Bunny Slips will be handed to the Spring Bunny (on a drive-through basis) in exchange for a prize basket, the chance to win a golden egg, and an additional prize for each golden egg. Two-hundred baskets will be available, on a first-come, first-serve basis. As a special treat, the Spring Bunny will be available for socially distanced photos!

Come on out to the farm for a U-Pick Wagon Ride adventure that includes a wagon ride around the farm. You will learn about Tanaka Farms and its history, farming methods, and the crops we grow. You will make a few stops in the fields to pick your own produce!  (Produce picked varies and is dependent on crop availability. If we do not have enough Strawberries, we will substitute picking two different veggies.) Then, take a walk through the Barnyard Educational Exhibit, and finally…meet and get a (socially distant!) photo with the Easter Bunny!

The nearly fifty acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad❤ Ranch in Carlsbad, California, are in bloom for 10-weeks - from early March through early May- literally bringing the famous fields back to life. This annual burst of color, which has become part of the area's local heritage, also is one of nature's official ways of announcing the arrival of spring here in Southern California.

Mr. Rex aka Bunny-Saurus has arrived! You don't want to miss a family photo op in our amazing dinosaur-sized Easter Basket featuring super cute baby dinosaurs and eggs. Our Easter Basket photo op is running now, and continues through mid-April. ($10 digital photo only with admission). Ms. Dinny is still donning her pretty-in-pink LOVE paint-suit and our LOVE photo op is still available.

The Wafflesaurus Truck will be at the Cabazon Dinosaurs serving delicious dinosaur-themed ice cream treats on Saturday and Sunday.
