Summer Movie Nights In The Park with FREE Printable

THEY'RE BACK!
Free movies in the park are one of the best things about summer, and we really can't wait.
Pack up the kids, blankets, and some snacks and head over to Magnolia Park in Upland.

I have great memories of attending these events myself when I was a kid. I always looked forward to sitting outside on beautiful summer evenings, snacking on popcorn, and spending time with the family. Of course, it was even better when my cousins or friends tagged along with us. As an adult, I realize that these evenings are a perfect way to get the night off. Our family would often pick up dinner and picnic in our spot before the movie, with no cooking, no cleaning, and no entertaining the kids after a long hot day. On the way home, my sisters and I would start to fall asleep, and we'd be ready for bed as soon as we pulled up to the house - the true sign of a successful evening.

This year Upland is hosting movie nights in June and July, and although all movies start at 8:30 pm, you will to want to arrive early for special "Kids Corner" activities that will take place from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Here is the movie lineup for the summer with the corresponding kid's corner activity:

Thursday, June 23 - Luca (Kids Corner Activity - Underwater Art For Kids)
Thursday, June 30 - 101 Dalmations (Kids Corner Activity - Paw Prints For Kids)
Thursday, July 21 - Encanto (Kids Corner Activity - Ice Cream Social For Kids)
Thursday, July 28 - Sing 2 (Kids Corner Activity -Kids' Swap Meet 5:00 pm-8:00 pm)

Here are some tips for a successful movie night with your family.

Mom Tips for Movie Nights in the Park

  • Arrive early to stake out your spot.
  • Bring a picnic dinner so you can enjoy a no-fuss dinner & clean up
  • Bring a blanket to sit on and a lightweight blanket just in case the kids get chilly.
  • Don't forget treats for the movie! (Drinks too)
  • Pick up some glow necklaces for some nighttime fun
  • Bring books or a deck of cards (we love Uno) to pass the time before the movie starts.
  • Pack a trash bag in case the trash cans at the park get full.
  • Bring napkins and wet wipes! You'll be glad you did!

Here's to a summer full of warm nights and family fun!
See you at the park!
