Pumkin Patches, Farms & Apple Picking Near Upland, Claremont & La Verne

One of the best parts of fall is the change in the weather. After months of hot summer days and nights, we are ready to put on our sweaters and boots and visit a pumpkin patch or go apple picking. Are you looking for a fun fall day trip for the family? Do you want to visit some farmer's markets? Maybe your family wants to tackle a giant corn maze or take a tractor ride. No matter what your destination is, you are sure to create wonderful memories and snap some amazing pictures along the way! Below are some local pumpkin patches, farms, and outdoor festivals that make a perfect fall day for your family.





Please note: Some of these farms/patches require tickets, charge parking fees or require a bit of planning. Click on the names of the Farms/Pumpkin patches (listed in orange) for links to their business pages and make sure you check them out before you go.   


The Pumpkin Patch at Heritage Park  (La Verne) - Opening Day: Friday, October 4
Location: Heritage Park, 5001 Via De Mansion, La Verne, CA 91750
The pumpkin patch will be open on Fridays 4-8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 8 pm. The rural atmosphere makes the Heritage Foundation Pumpkin Patch a wonderful place to pick your pumpkin. Aside from purchasing your pumpkins, you can take a tractor-pulled ride, visit the petting farm, take family photos and celebrate the season.


Cal Poly Pomona  (Pomona) - Opening Day is Saturday, September 28. 
Location: Pumpkin Festival at AGRIscapes, 4102 S. University Drive, Pomona, 91768
The Pumpkin Fest is BACK! Admission tickets with a capacity limit are available now and usually sell out. You must purchase an admission ticket to enter the pumpkin patch. Visitors are advised to buy their tickets online for the best prices. They will sell a limited number of admission tickets each day. Included with general admission are Pumpkin Hill, Kids Patch, Country Fair Area, Live Music, Farm Demonstrations, Festival Food Vendors, and The Marketplace Craft Vendors. 


Montclair Place Pumpkin Patch (Montclair) - Opens Friday, September 27 
Location: 5060 E Montclair Plaza Lane, Montclair, CA 91763 -in the outside parking lot located across from Lazy Dog
Montclair Place has its own pumpkin patch! Come for pumpkins, pony rides, a petting zoo, meet and greet characters, a corn maze and more. 


Venegas Family Farms (Ontario) -  Opens October 2
Location: 13835 Euclid Ave, Ontario, CA 91762
Small, family-owned, reasonably priced, responsibly grown pumpkins. Venegas promotes wholesome family fun that won't break the bank. Two different experiences to choose from Pre-cut and U-Pick. 


Frosty's Forest & Pumpkin Patch (Chino) - Opening Day: Friday, September 27
Location: 14861 Ramona Ave, Chino, CA 91710
Frosty’s is offering free admission to the Patch on select Mondays! You’ll have access to the corn cob beach, animal viewing zoo, photo op path, sunflower labyrinth, and themed corn maze! Ride and game tickets can be purchased at an additional cost. Free Mondays are: Sept 30, Oct. 7,14,21. 
Carnival games, a 4-acre corn maze, slide, rides, a haunted corn maze (Thursday-Sunday nights only), a sunflower labyrinth, plenty of amazing backdrops for photos, concessions stands and MORE! 


Fall In The Farm -(Fairplex, Pomona) ONE DAY ONLY:Saturday, November 18 
See, touch and taste agriculture in motion at Fairplex Presents Fall In The Farm.  Be an urban farmer for a day at Fairplex Presents Fall In The Farm. Fall In The Farm offers hands-on activities, displays, workshops, and agriculture and wellness vendors providing information for the entire family. The Farm at Fairplex, which hosts Fall In The Farm, is ripe with autumnal fresh fruit and vegetables and is the perfect showcase to learn how to grow your own garden, even if you live in the city. It’s a day where digging in the dirt is encouraged, and learning about where food comes from is engaging. 


Oak Glen - Apple picking opening day is Saturday, August 31
Location: Oak Glen, CA 
Visit the apple orchard! Petting zoo, hard cider, apples, fresh-pressed cider, apple cider donuts, fresh-baked pies, BBQ, pick your own fruit, and more! Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Farm (Redlands) - Opens: Friday, September 20
Location: 32335 Live Oak Canyon Rd, Redlands, California 92373
This patch has it all! Experience the wonder of this pumpkin patch farm with fantastic rides, slides, ponies, games, live entertainment, food, a corn maze, and more! The Farm is HUGE, and there are TONS of pumpkins and photo ops! Admission prices are listed HERE 


Seasonal Adventure's Pumpkin Patch (Rancho Cucamonga) -Open: Friday, September 28
Location: 11400 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA  91730
Mechanical rides, blow-up slides, obstacle courses, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and a train too! There are thousands of pumpkins to choose from, squash/gourds, and cornstalks.


Seasonal Adventures Pumpkin Patch -(Hesperia) - Opening Day Saturday, September 28

Petting zoo,  bounce house, inflatables, Kiddie Rides, a Train, Games, Ring Toss, and thousands of pumpkins to choose from.


The Pumpkin Factory (Corona) - Opening Day: Sunday, October 1

Experience the wonder of The Pumpkin Factory pumpkin patch with fantastic rides, slides, ponies, petting zoos, games and more! Funnel cakes, nacho fries, sandwiches available and more.


Pumpkin Patch at Tanaka Farms -(Irvine) - Opens Saturday, September 14

Have you ever picked your own pumpkin right out of the pumpkin patch? Tanaka Farms is one of the only farms in Orange County with a REAL pumpkin patch! Weekend activities include Wagon Rides, a Barnyard Educational Exhibit, a U-Pick Veggie Patch, a Corn Maze, U-Pick Pumpkin Fields, Arts and crafts, Festival Games, Farmer Golf, and the famous Pumpkin Cannon. 


Pumpkin Patch at Irvine Park Railroad (Orange) - Opens Saturday, September 14

Train and hayrides are the highlights when you visit Irvine Park Railroad! There is so much to do here!  They have game booths, fall picture spots, moon bounce, face painting, panning for gold, John Deere Racers, cookie decorating, pumpkin decorating, a not-so-spooky haunted house, a hay maze, a hay pyramid,  great food and more. Visit the pumpkin patch and purchase your pumpkins this year. On Saturday, September 21 they will also host their annual Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off! 


Greenspot Farms (Mentone): Opening Day Saturday, September 28

An authentic country farm, open to the community to experience the beauty of nature! The farm offers a pumpkin patch, haunted hayride and crafts, train rides, bouncers, a hay maze, activities, a small animal farm, duck races, tractor rides and more! This year, they also offer lots of colorful pumpkins, including "blue," "ghost," and "Cinderella's."


Peltzer Pumpkin Farm (Temecula)Opening Day is Saturday, September 22
