Head out to one of these events for some Halloween Fun!
None of the events listed are scary, but almost all require advanced ticket purchases before you arrive.  Please make sure you visit the websites and social media pages before you head out to visit any of the special events below so you can know everything you need to know before you go.


Dia De Los Muertos at Castle Park -(Riverside) Castle Park presents a lively Fall celebration of Mexican and Latin American traditions. Visit Kiddieland for a family-friendly event featuring beautiful decorations and the entertainment of traditional folkloric dancers and whimsical marionettes. Joyful music and dance entertainment, including Duke greeting guests and leading the fun! Día De Los Muertos will also feature delicious, themed treats, crafts, and even trick-or-treating opportunities for our younger guests. Saturdays and Sundays through October 29. Sea World Spooktacular - (San Diego) Kids love trick-or-treating during this daytime event as they explore our decorated trail and meet all sorts of colorful characters. And that’s just the beginning! From a Halloween dance party to a pumpkin scavenger hunt and more, this is engaging family fun you’ll only find here. SeaWorld Spooktacular happenings on weekends from Sept. 15 – Oct. 29. SeaWorld Spooktacular is included with park admission.  Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, Sept. 15 through Oct. 29.


Brick or Treat at Legoland(San Diego) Legoland's Halloween event is better this year! The Brick-or-Treat Monster Party transforms the Resort into a fun-filled Halloween escape with tons of candy, not-so-scary new shows, and silly monster LEGO characters. PLUS, all frighteningly fun festivities are included with general admission. This event is included with park admission.  Brick-or-Treat activities run from Sept 16, 23, 30 + select Sat & Sun in October. Opening Day is Saturday, September 16 - Open Select Days in September and October


The Count's Halloween Spooktacular - (Sesame Place, San Diego) Come in costume and celebrate silly, not-too-spooky fun at The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place! The park will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween haven, and guests will enjoy trick-or-treating around the park, Halloween-themed shows, the Sesame Street Halloween Parade, an interactive Sesame Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, and unique photo opportunities with everyone’s favorite furry friends dressed up in costume! Cost is included with admission! Happening on Opening Day: September 16 - The event runs Saturday and Sunday from Sept. 16 – Oct. 29. 


Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns - (Whittier Narrows, LA)  The Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns in Los Angeles, California, delights all ages on a glowing trail of thousands of magnificent, hand-carved pumpkins. A magical light show illuminates larger-than-life displays. A nautical sea-scape, a pirate ship, dinosaurs, dragons, and much more softly aglow throughout the event. You’ll find magic around every corner!- Tickets start at $19.99 - Open Select Nights from September 22 - October 31


Knott's Spooky Farm -(Buena Park) Enjoy the Halloween season, a family-friendly fall-time celebration at Knott’s Spooky Farm. Little ghouls can trick-or-treat around the town of Calico’s shops and buildings to collect sweet treats from the friendly townsfolk plus enjoy even more kids' Halloween activities. Families can join in on the Halloween fun as the park is transformed with themed décor and spooky surprises. The fall daytime Seasons of Fun event is included with regular park admission or your Season Pass. (Thursday - Sundays) Opening Day - Thursday, September 28 - Event runs daytime Thursdays-Sundays, September 28 - October 29, 2023, plus Halloween


Shaqtoberfest - A Halloween Festival- (Long Beach) Returning for a second year to the notoriously haunted Queen Mary, Shaqtoberfest is an immersive Halloween festival featuring haunted trails, live entertainment, themed bars and lounges, carnival rides, and more! Family Fun and Trick or Treating during the day and a frightfully fun Halloween Festival at night! Tickets are available now. - Opening Day Thursday, September 28 - Event runs select days until October 31st


Adventure City's Boo-tastic Halloween Party - (Anaheim)  8 Nights of Adventure City Boo-Tastic Halloween Party! Come join Adventure City for this super family-fun Halloween adventure! Go on 11 exciting rides, enjoy a fun Halloween Scavenger Hunt, boogie along at our Spooktacular dance party, go through a spinning vortex, get candy and toys at their Trick-or-Treat Street and much more! Nights of the Jack  - (Calabasas) Nights Of The Jack is a family-friendly walk-thru Halloween experience. Follow the 2/3 mile trail at King Gillette Ranch, glimmering at every turn with blazing gourds around every corner. Be sure to have your cameras ready to take some amazing pictures. Expect to see larger-than-life pumpkin installations and detailed artist depictions of your favorite movie stars, sports heroes, and animated characters. Visit the Spookyeasy bar for hot cider or a seasonal cocktail. Opening Day - Friday, September 29. Event Runs Until October 31


Spooky Science at Discovery Cube -  (Sylmar)  Calling all ghouls and goblins, come out of your tombs and join us for the Spooky Science block party!  Make green slime and participate in a marble run at the Spooky stage, ride the tractor trails and enjoy other haunting sights and sounds throughout the center. Spooky Demo Stage: Features three spooky activities, including green slime, learning about “pi” using a pizza pie, and racing between Team Turtle and Team Rat in a marble run track. Take the Pumpkin Tetris Challenge, Participate in the costume parade, trick-or-treat stations, and live DJ(weekends only). This event is included with General Admission or valid membership. Opening Day - Saturday, September 30 - Event runs until October 31


HalGLOWeen @ the San Diego Zoo (San Diego) This popular October event is back, and bigger than ever! Join the San Diego Zoo on weekends—all month long—to help them light up the night starting at 5:00pm! There's fun for the whole family, with musical entertainment, dance parties, special performances, and more—plus Dr. Zoolittle, Zoo characters, and tempting food specials. Kids 11 and younger can come in costumes. HalGLOWeen is included in all memberships and all admission tickets. - Event Days Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October


Carved at Descanso Gardens  (La Cañada Flintridge) Spooky season returns to Descanso Gardens. Carved is a family-friendly event for all ages. Hundreds of carved pumpkins will line a 1-mile walk through the Camellia Forest and Oak Grove for three weeks in October. Along with pumpkins, there will be exciting new oversized sculptures made of sticks and other natural materials. The popular Pumpkin House, a hay maze, and themed food and beverage will all help to create a fun harvest festival ambiance. **Advance tickets required Opening Day- Friday, October 6 - Event runs through October 29


Pumpkin Palooza Festival at Discovery Cube - (Santa Ana) Get ready for another thrilling adventure as Discovery Cube Orange County proudly presents the return of the highly anticipated Pumpkin Palooza for its second year! This year promises to be even more ghoulishly delightful and captivating for visitors of all ages with an interactive dance party, bumper cars, spellbinding science activities, trick-or-treating, and so much more. To attend the festival and dance party, you must purchase an event ticket in addition to your general admission ticket or membership. General Admission ticket is $12, and Membership admission is $10. (Thursdays - Sundays) Opening Day - Saturday, October 7


Mojave Narrows Harvest Festival and Haunted Hayride - (Victorville)  -  Mojave Narrows Regional Park will be hosting its first Harvest Festival and Haunted Hayride event on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2-9 p.m. The festival celebrates the beginning of fall with a touch of Halloween spook in the haunted hayride. The event will also include a pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, and costume contests for all ages, including fur babies, as well as family games, pie-eating contests, event booths, live music, food and more. Park admission is $10 per vehicle and $5 for hayride tickets. - ONE DAY ONLY - Saturday, October 7


Tom's Farms Haunted Train Ride & Pumpkin Patch - (Corona) Join Tom's Farms and explore their haunted grounds from 7 pm to 9:30 pm! Haunts run from Friday to Sunday until Sunday, October 29th. The Haunted Train Ride is back for its 5th year with even more scares! Tickets are $8. (This haunted train ride is family-friendly but does have some scare actors, so it is up to the parent's discretion)- Opening Day- Friday, October 6 - Event Runs Friday - Sundays in October


Boo at the Hesperia Zoo- (Hesperia) A tradition for over 15 years, The Hesperia Zoo transforms into a 1-hour living storybook of Myths, Legends and Spooky Tales Tour. A safe place for trick-or-treating. This year, they added a Haunted Animal House! Weekends only. Opening Day - Saturday, October 14 - The event runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday night in October


Tombstone Cinema - Hocus Pocus - (Riverside) Come watch a movie in a historic cemetery! Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery is a screening "Hocus Pocus" "PG".  One day only: Saturday, October 14


Halloween Family Night at Aquarium of the Pacific - (Long Beach) Dress up in your coolest costume and explore the Aquarium’s animal exhibits at night. Touch sharks, rays, and sea jellies as you venture on a self-guided scavenger hunt. Families will receive a scavenger hunt and goodie bags on entry. One Day Only - Friday, October 20, 2023


Get Air Halloween Spooktacular (Pomona) Join Get Air for their Halloween Spooktacular on October 21 from 7 to 10 PM! Be prepared for a night full of jumping, games, prizes, candy and spooky music! And don’t forget to dress up for our costume contest! One day only - Saturday, October 21


BOO at the Santa Ana Zoo -(Santa Ana) Boo at the Zoo is one of the safest places for young children to trick-or-treat for Halloween taking home goodies from 10 toys/treats stations. It’s a “Merry not Scary” family fun event, and everyone (young and young at heart) is encouraged to come in costume! The exciting “Boofari” Express Train, Conservation Carrousel, and Fifty Monkey Ferris Wheel rides will entertain little ghouls and goblins all night. Parents, don’t forget your cameras! Boo at the Zoo provides great photo opportunities that will last a lifetime. Boo at the Zoo is only open for four nights in October, so get your tickets now. Boo at the L.A. Zoo- (Los Angeles) Two weekends of sweet-and-spooky fun! Free with paid Zoo admission or GLAZA membership. The Halloween spirit will be in full swing for two frightfully fun weekends at the L.A. Zoo, with trick-or-treating stations featuring premium Mars candies, animal pumpkin feedings, themed photo ops, story readings, and an extinct animal graveyard. Costumes are encouraged. Event Days, October 21/22 and 28/29


Ghost Walk (Riverside) California Riverside Ballet is thrilled to be back in Riverside for the 32nd annual Ghost Walk this October. Join us for an eerie evening of family-friendly fun at Ghost Walk Riverside – Haunted Halls! Get ready to embark on a tantalizing adventure through the corridors of St. Francis de Sales School where the spirits and mysteries come to life in a whimsical and fantastic adventure perfect for all ages. Within the courtyard, patrons will be treated to the sounds and sites of Halloween, including the kids’ carnival, food & vendor court, and beer garden. You won’t dare want to miss the 32nd annual Ghost Walk Riverside Halloween event! All tours will include the beloved Thriller dance. The price is $20 per tour ticket and includes carnival admittance. Friday, October 20 & Saturday, October 21 


Toddlerween (Get Air, Pomona) - Bring your little ones for a Toddlerween celebration on October 26 and 31 from 10 AM to Noon and October 29 from 8 to 10 AM! We will be hosting a Halloween party full of jumping, games, spooky music and candy for jumpers under 46″ tall! Remember to wear your costume! The event runs two days: October 26 & October 31


Pageant of the Monsters - (Laguna Beach) Get ready to howl with delight because of the spooktacular. This beloved tradition, resurrected every five years, holds a special place in the cobweb-covered hearts of both locals and visitors. Prepare to be spellbound as you venture into the Pageant’s backstage area and scenic workshops, transformed into a family-friendly haunted house. It’s a bone-chilling celebration of creativity that’ll send shivers down your spine! Haunted house, Alien autopsy and demented chef sideshow, Up-Close Encounters with The Reptile Zoo, Halloween photo-ops and selfie stations, games and MORE! (not recommended for children under 5 years of age.) Friday, October 27 - Sunday, October 30


A Hogwarts Halloween at Ioamosa - (Rancho Cucamonga) Join Historic Ioamosa Weddings and Events for a weekend of fun family festivities that will include live music, food, vendors, and, of course, their famous haunted house walk-through. --Adults $20, kids $10 - 5 and under are free. - Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28


Scarium of the Pacific - (Long Beach) Discover the creatures lurking in the depths at the Aquarium of the Pacific during its Scarium-themed weekend. Enjoy special Halloween programs, including the annual children’s costume contest, creepy coloring contest, vampire magician, underwater pumpkin carving, creepy critters and more!  Saturday, October 28 & Sunday. October 29.
