Things That Go Bump in the Night Returns to Claremont

Nighttime Fun For All Ages

By Natalie Sanchez - Publisher For Macaroni KID Upland-Claremont-La Verne September 21, 2025

One of Claremont’s most beloved family events is back! Things That Go Bump in the Night returns to the California Botanic Garden for two evenings only, Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Pack a flashlight and bring your curiosity as the Garden transforms after dark. Families will have the chance to explore the nighttime world of plants and animals while enjoying hands-on activities, live entertainment, and plenty of Halloween-themed fun.

Here’s what’s in store this year:

  • Interactive activities and shows that spark curiosity about nocturnal creatures
  • Meet live animals with the help of expert partners, including the Pomona Valley Bird Alliance, Guardians of the Wolves, SoCal Bat Working Group, and more
  • Creepy crawly crafts to take home as a spooky keepsake
  • Food truck dinner options to keep everyone fueled for exploring
  • Night Hike guided by the Sierra Club
  • Special Friday-only performance: A live puppet show by the Bob Baker Marionette Theater!

This event is always a local favorite and does sell out quickly, so advance tickets are highly recommended.

Ticket Pricing

  • Public: $21 Adult | $17 Student (with ID) or Senior | $15 Child (3–12)
  • CalBG Members: $16 Adult | $12 Student (with ID) or Senior | $10 Child (3–12)
