September 17, 2023

Fall is in the air, and that means it's time for one of the most anticipated traditions in our community – the Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Fest! Whether you're a long-time resident or a newcomer, mark your calendars for a family-friendly weekend filled with pumpkin-themed fun, delicious food, and exciting activities.

This year's Pumpkin Fest will take place every weekend from September 30 - October 29, 2023 at Cal Poly Pomonas AGRIscapes. AGRIscapes is an educational outreach branch of Cal Poly Pomona's College of Agriculture. It is located south of Temple Avenue's main campus, occupying 20 acres of farmland and facilities. AGRIscapes transforms into a magical pumpkin wonderland during this annual event. You can find all the details and directions on their official website here.

As the name suggests, pumpkins are the stars of the show at Pumpkin Fest! Get ready to be amazed by the incredible variety of pumpkins on display. You'll find pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors, from the tiniest mini-pumpkins to the gigantic giants. It's the perfect opportunity to pick the perfect pumpkin, for your Halloween carving masterpiece!

Pumpkin Fest is designed with families in mind, offering a wide range of activities for all ages. Kids will have a blast navigating the corn maze, enjoying hay rides, and riding the train. Don't forget to visit the petting farm, where little ones can interact with adorable farm animals.

Don't miss the opportunity to browse the various artisanal booths featuring handmade crafts, jewelry, and artwork. It's a great chance to start your holiday shopping early and support local artists. And when hunger strikes, indulge in a wide array of delicious food options.

Cal Poly Pomona is renowned for its agricultural programs, and Pumpkin Fest is an excellent opportunity to learn more about farming and sustainability. The event features agricultural-themed demonstrations and displays, including tractors and engines from the Western Antique Power Associates (WAPA); amazing weaving demonstrations, beekeeping, and Cucamonga John’s Gadgetorium. It's a fun and educational experience for the whole family!
