The La Verne Heritage Foundation invites you to connect with the charm of La Verne’s citrus heritage at their 2025 Orange Picking Saturdays and Spring Squeeze School Field Trips. These unique events offer families and schools a memorable way to experience the area's rich history and the beauty of one of the last working orange groves in Southern California.
| Orange Picking Saturdays |
Starting Saturday, January 11th, and continuing every Saturday while oranges are in season, this family-friendly event lets you pick your own fresh oranges for just $8 per bag. With pickers and bags provided, it’s a fun, hassle-free way to spend your Saturday.
In addition to orange picking, enjoy free tours of the historic Weber House and shop at the Heritage Barn Store, featuring:
- Flannel shirts, jams, marinades, and sauces
- Olives, puzzles, magnets, and keychains with the Heritage orange label
- Handmade soaps, vintage kitchenware, and children’s wooden painting kits

Take a step back in time with the Spring Squeeze field trips, designed for schools, preschools, and Mommy & Me groups. Perfect for giving kids a glimpse of life on a citrus farm in the late 1800s, these weekday tours are both educational and hands-on!
Activities include:
- A tractor ride through the orange grove
- A tour of the historic Weber House
- Learning about smudge pots, outhouses, and windmills
- Walking through the garden and visiting farm animals
- Tasting fresh-squeezed orange juice
- Making a craft with an orange rind to take home
