As the summer winds down, don’t put away your camping gear just yet! The Upland Recreation and Community Services hosts an End of Summer Camp Out on Saturday, September 14th, and Sunday, September 15th. Get ready for a night of family fun at Greenbelt Park (located at 15th Street & Benson Avenue), where you can enjoy the great outdoors without having to leave the city.

This special event is perfect for families with children ages 5 to 12 years. For just $25 per person, your family will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including games, crafts, and some friendly family competition. As the sun sets, gather around for a late-night screening of the new movie, Trolls Band Together. This is the perfect chance to unplug, spend quality time together, and experience the fun of sleeping on a baseball field!

Event Highlights:

  • Games & Crafts: Get creative and have fun with a range of activities designed to entertain the whole family.
  • Family-Friendly Competition: Engage in some light-hearted contests that everyone can enjoy.
  • Late Night Movie: Enjoy a special screening of Trolls Band Together under the stars.
  • BBQ Dinner & Dessert: Savor turkey hot dogs, chips, fruit, and a drink for dinner, with dessert to follow.
  • Snacks & Breakfast: Keep the energy up with snacks and a continental breakfast in the morning.

Please Note: Adult participation is required for the entire event, and each camp space can accommodate up to four family members. Tents and sleeping gear are not provided, so be sure to bring your own.

But don’t wait—there are only 20 camp-site spaces available, so be sure to secure your spot soon!
