This holiday season, Descanso Gardens invites you to immerse yourself in the wonder of two returning beloved events—Carved and Enchanted Forest of Light—each offering new surprises and enhanced experiences for visitors of all ages.

An Illuminated Pumpkin Spectacle
Step into the dazzling world of Carved on a route that promises more pumpkin-themed fun than ever before. The model trains of the Descanso Railroad will be aglow with special lighting, and visitors will encounter a whimsical family of wood spirits, carved by Chainsaw Jenna from five massive logs, adding a playful touch to the event. Marvel at the intricate jack-o’-lanterns, hand-carved giant pumpkins, and the stunning “Rhizome” installation by artists Tom and Lien Dekyvere.

A Nighttime Garden of Wonders
Embark upon a journey through Enchanted Forest of Light, where inventive light installations transform familiar spaces into extraordinary, dreamlike landscapes. This year’s Enchanted will feature the model trains of the Descanso Railroad, lit up especially for the holiday season, and returning favorites like the magical “stained glass” houses by Tom Fruin, dazzling geometric structures by HYBYCOZO, the vibrant Flower Power installation on the Promenade, and the beautifully lit Ancient Forest. Enjoy the seasonal ambiance with hot drinks and delectable treats available for purchase.

Both Carved and Enchanted are rain-or-shine events. Tickets are non-refundable, with timed entry, and must be purchased in advance.
