Mark your calendar for Thursday, June 12, and get ready for a night of movie magic under the stars at Cinema Botanica! The California Botanic Garden is hosting a special screening of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial—a beloved family classic filmed among California’s Redwoods.
Enjoy an evening packed with fun:
- 🎭 Costume Contest – Dress as your favorite critter, native plant, or show off something totally original for a chance to win!
- ✂️ Pre-Movie Crafts – Get creative with a fun origami activity.
- 🌙 "Bootanical" Trivia – Test your nature smarts with family-friendly trivia.
🍿 Every ticket includes a FREE popcorn with optional native plant–inspired toppings like Atriplex BBQ, Caramel Mesquite, or Parmesan Black Sage. Drinks and extra snacks will be available for purchase.
🕖 Doors open at 7 PM for crafts and trivia. The movie starts around 8 PM. Folding chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring your favorite camp chair for extra comfort.
