Claremont’s biggest event of the year is back, and in 2025, it’s turning 75! This year’s Independence Day celebration brings new energy, a few exciting changes, and plenty of family fun from sunrise to fireworks.
Start your 4th of July with pancakes in the park and end the night under the stars at Pomona College.
Morning Festivities at Memorial Park
Kick off the holiday bright and early with the Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast, then cheer on participants in the Claremont Freedom 5K Run/Walk and the 1K Kid’s Fun Run, hosted by Claremont Sunrise Rotary and the Claremont Cross Country Program.
- 7:00–10:00 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast
- 7:30 a.m.: 1K Kid’s Fun Run
- 8:00 a.m.: 5K Run/Walk
- 10:00 a.m.: Flag Raising Ceremony and Festival
- 10:15–11:30 a.m.: T. Willard Hunter Speakers Corner (a unique Claremont tradition!)
- 12:00 p.m.: Honoree Recognition
- 1:00 p.m.: Parade kicks off from Memorial Park
Fun Fact: This year’s Grand Marshals are Bob Fagg and Sonja Stump, with Tom Shelley as Honored Citizen and AgingNext as Honored Community Group.
🎆 Evening Concert & Fireworks at Pomona College
As the sun sets, head over to Pomona College’s Strehle Track for the concert and fireworks show. Bring a blanket, enjoy dinner from the Kiwanis Club BBQ, and dance along with live music from Pop Vinyl, a pop and dance cover band.
- 6:30 p.m.: Gates Open, BBQ begins
- 6:45–8:45 p.m.: Live Concert
- 9:00 p.m.: Fireworks Show by Pyrospectaculars
🎫 Fireworks Show Tickets
- $10 per person (ages 4 and up)
- Tickets are sold online or at the Alexander Hughes Community Center
- Sales are first-come, first-served, and all sales are final

- Re-entry allowed with hand stamp
- Prohibited items include alcohol, smoking, glass bottles, umbrellas, weapons, and animals (except service animals)
- No tents, canopies, or spiked shoes
