If your kids love a good egg hunt and you love a morning that feels easy and organized, Claremont’s annual Spring Egg Hunt is one to circle on the calendar.

The City of Claremont is hosting its Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park - 840 N. Indian Hill Blvd. It’s free to attend, and it’s one of those easy community events you can show up to without much planning.

Here’s how the morning breaks down so you can plan ahead:

Special Needs Egg Hunt at 9:00 a.m.

The morning begins with a sensory-friendly, adaptive egg hunt designed specifically for children with special needs. Parents are welcome to assist their children, which I always appreciate seeing built into an event like this. It’s thoughtful, inclusive, and a great way to start the day on a calm note.

Traditional Egg Hunt at 10:45 a.m.

The traditional hunt kicks off promptly at 10:45 a.m. for children ages 3 to 12. There will be a chance to find the golden egg, which always adds a little extra excitement. Children ages 2 and under won’t be left out, they’ll receive free goodie bags.

Between hunts, families can enjoy:

  • A live petting zoo
  • Face painting
  • Interactive booths
  • Photo opportunities with the Spring Bunnies

It’s an event where kids can bounce from activity to activity while parents catch up with neighbors or snap a few photos.

Pancake Breakfast Option

If you want to make a full morning of it, the Kiwanis Club of Claremont will be serving a pancake breakfast from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tickets are $8 per person and can be purchased at the event. Pancakes before an egg hunt feels like a solid parenting decision.

The event is supported by Children’s Foundation of America and Claremont Graduate University, and it really does feel like a true community gathering.

A few practical tips:

  • Arrive early, especially if you’re participating in the special needs hunt
  • Bring a basket or bag for eggs
  • Expect it to move quickly once the hunt begins

Memorial Park is a great spot for this, with plenty of space for little ones to spread out and easy to find if you’re coming from anywhere in Upland, La Verne, or the surrounding areas.

If you’re looking for a low-cost, local way to celebrate the season with your kids, this is a sweet, straightforward way to do it.
