Bring the Kids for a Day of Creativity at This Free La Verne Event

By Natalie Sanchez - Publisher For Macaroni KID Upland-Claremont-La Verne April 23, 2026

If your kids love to create, explore, and try new things, this event is for you!

The 19th Annual Family Learning Conference is coming back to the University of La Verne, and it’s a full morning and afternoon of hands-on fun designed for the whole family. Instead of just walking around or watching from the sidelines, kids get to jump in, make things, and be part of the experience.

This year’s theme, Tapestry of the Arts, brings together creativity, culture, and learning. You’ll find interactive workshops, arts-based activities, and even book readings by local authors, all set up to keep kids curious and involved.

And it’s not just for the kids. There are plenty of resources and ideas for parents too, especially if you’re looking for simple ways to support learning at home without making it feel like “extra work.”

Another thing I love about this event is how welcoming it feels. It brings together families, educators, and the community in one place, and everything is designed to be approachable and inclusive.
