Details: His Hands Food Pantry will be hosting its annual Backpack Giveaway. There will be 350 backpacks, and it will be first come, first served. They will also have free haircuts for children and other community resources.

Wondering what your child may need before they start back?
Don't feel like you need to get everything before the first day of school. I can't tell you how many times I purchased items that sat and were never used. The truth is that teachers don't expect the kids to have all their supplies on day one. Here is a short but handy list of items that are pretty safe to purchase before school starts.

I know it's hot as blazes outside, but when Back To School Shopping, you can uncover some really good sales and deals on fall/winter clothes. I always pick up at least one pair of pants and a jacket for my kids so that we are ready for the change in the weather. No one is buying these items right now and I often find them marked down on top of the typical Back to School sales. It's a great way to get a good deal, and you'll be prepared for that first cold morning that always seems to take us by surprise.
